This year’s conference was obviously marked with a catchy title to mirror the new generation’s lifestyle. The Shout Out! MetroCon delivered a vibrant and youthful taste of the YFCs in the city where the talks, workshops, competitions and other activities were all aligned to the new generations of YFCs.
Given that the conference made a copy of an outstanding face of the youth’s city lifestyle, this year’s MetroCon never failed to deliver God’s messages despite of the previous catastrophes of which the youths were directly affected.
A DJ-like speaker opened the first talk delivering every piece of her Godly messages in a musical countdown. Social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, Friendster and Multiply were also mentioned to which the youths of today are mostly attached with. The Shout Out! MetroCon successfully mixed the cyber life of the youths along with their journey with the Lord.
The competitions never failed to show the YFCs are all good sports! From bands to gag shows and up to basketball, YFCs enjoyed competing with fellow Christ-believers to showcase their talents.
Workshops were also conducted and are of importance to the roles of the youths of today. Two of the workshops include the blogging generations talks and the Voter’s 101 activities.
The cold atmosphere in Tanay did not even hinder the youths to participate in all activities of the Shout Out! MetroCon but continuously inspired them with all the activities in the two-day conference.
And as the conference wrapped up with a closing worship, all YFC programs from all sectors of the metro shouted their famous line ‘One Manila, Lupit!.’
